Can I use my Bmw 1.4,0 Scanner to turn on Halo DRLs on my 2004 E 53 Facelift Sport, factory fitted Xenons
lights,

I tried out all the variations in the DRL list on my scanner, and can't get the halo marker lights to come on ,on their own. One option turned the dipped beam + halo lights on together, the other option turns the main beam on at reduced power, and you can have the front indicator bulbs lit, US style.
I recon the best idea is to wire the halos to an ignition feed to get around the problem.
It can be done via an intrevee though.

Hi Pete I have read somewhere but can't find it now that it can be activated with the 1.4 scanner , the problem I have with picking up a live from the ignition is when you turn on the side lights the DRLs should go dimmer but they wouldn't , if I can't sort it with the scanner I will buy a DRL kit from Hids direct as my friend got one off them and he said I was easy to fit and it works fine, if you have time for a coffee tomorrow let me know,

if you have an intravee integration that has an option to enable the AEs as DLRs.

Looks like its not happening even though I have the check box to turn on  DRLs,will keep looking for a way
