Folks,

I would like a genuine metal Dog Guard for an E53 2006 model X5. If anyone has one lurking in a quiet corner of their garage/shed, or is thinking about selling their X and would sell their dog guard separately please drop me a reply on here. I will arrange collection/postage.

Cash Waiting.

Thanks, Ian

Does it have to be a metal one as the standard partition that comes with the E53 are very strong and easy to fit.

Hi Don,

I am currently using the standard 'fabric' one, but a certain black lab knows the gap at each end is the perfect size to fit his head through! Alas a metal one it will have to be. . . . .

Fabric cargo net used here and my black lab stays put...........I am not disputing what you say or why you need it though.

Just had a quick look on ebay for you - am sure you are looking there too.

Hi

I visited Raj in birmingham the other week and we removed my bmw oem metal dog guard. My dog always sits in the front so no need for it. Fitting looks simple - although i have electric reclining rear seats and the dog guard was attached so it moved forward and backward with the seats. I'm pretty sure its a universal fitting one though - let me know if you're still interested

Thanks

Jon

I've no idea how much they're worth but £20 seems ok to me if you're alright with that.

i can't believe you guys just use a dog guard.. I use one of these bad boys http://www.collpresuk.co.uk it contains all dog hair/muck into the box and is waterproof so the car doesnt get messy at all.

They are custom built to the car so you can have them any size. Before we got a dog box we had a suzuki Vitara and I must of spent 3 hrs getting all hairs out for the sale.. We have dalmatians so its those needlely white hairs that stick into everything.

To tell you the truth I had a chance of getting one of those 2nd hand for the x5 but due to me being a tight Yorkshire man he wouldn't budge on price nor would I.
