BMW Scanner , how to turn on auto delock?

Post by Jackstrath » Thu Jul 25, 2013 12:05 am

hi guys , finaly got my 2nd scanner sent out to me and it works fine! turned on a heap of extras!

Few little issues tho!

I turned on auto lock , love it on my other cars , but they dont require the door handle to be pulled twice to open the door , this i dont like and would rather as soon as i put the car into park or took the keys out the ingintion that the doors unlocked

any one tell me what i have to select on the scanner for that to work?

also another issue , im regularly on a big estate , this can some times mean im driving 1-2 miles at about 30mph with no seatbelt on (all privet ground might i add) i turned off what i thought was the seat belt sensors and the airbag light then came on and started flashing , turned them back on and all was good , any one know if i can stop the error and bong going off? but keep the air bags active or atleast active once i put the seatbelt back on ?

Sounds like you turned off the seat occupancy sensors, this will cause the airbags not to be deployed in the passenger seat I suspect, as it can't detect if anyone is sitting in certain seats. Hence the airbag light. You can get a dummy seatbelt buckle to fool the system, but safer to wear the belt.
Also I don't think there is an option on the scanner to auto unlock when turning the ignition off or selecting park.you can do it with an intrevee, or whatever they are called, as well as other useful options.

You can't auto unlock the X unfortunately using scanner. Safety reasons means you have to pull once to unlock then second time to open the door. It is a pain but unless something like intravee can do it not much else you can do.

As for seatbelt gong, go into the check control messages for the dash and uncheck the one for seatbelt. Should stop it from pinging up if you're lucky.
