Hi all,
Anyone know of a 3 Series forum as good as this one,
My youngest son has an E46 330Ci and we are having some random electrical probs. just looking for a bit of info after I've learned so much from here about my X.
Want to help him out as I'm so proud of his taste in cars!
Thanks folks.
Mark.

I have to agree, I had looked at a few, I only joined this one as it did seem the best.
Shadrack, I see you have 3 Series, have you had any problems? I had an 02 325Ci M Sport which had no problems. My lads car is a bit random, sometimes the CD player just doesn't work (multi changer), indicators continue to tick but aren't flashing or don't tick but are flashing, remote locking intermittent.
Weird.
I am hoping to get some ideas.

ive had e30 318x2 e30 325x2, e36 318x2 e36 328, e36 m3 e46 318, e46 320x2 e46 325,330, M3 and not in age order all jumbled up and tbh never really had any issues, cd changers are common for just f**king up I cant use slot 3 in the m3 as it jams, electrical issues could be anything maybe an auto electrician with bmw experience cant think of anything off top of my head

Had 6 BMW's myself, 2 X5's, a Z4 & 3 3 Series, my first was an E30, classic!
Never had any probs either except sat Nav sometimes doesn't boot up on my current X5.
Fortunately, I have a local indy who is really good. I believe he used to work at a dealers and has now set up on his own. Definitely knows his stuff, always happy to 'Have a quick look' and won't take any money, just says he will add it to your next service but doesn't. Labour is half that of the nearest dealer. All round top guy!
Only problem is he is always busy oddly enough. I'll have to pin him down for a chat next time he does something I'm paying for!!

Think I made your 3 Seies at 14!!  Tbh I don't have the desire to spend my hard earned on anything else and at the moment I think the best cars are the ones you can't see over lol.

I used this forum when I had my 325 from 2007-9.  Similar feel to Xdrivers: good crowd.

E90 post may not answer problems with an E46 but you never know.

The trouble I found when looking for help with the E46 was that there are soooooo many out there and a lot of useless information from owners who just don't know.

This is by far the best forum I have used for accurate friendly advice from people who in the most know and or care about their cars.

Good luck with sorting the car ;)

Thanks for that Rusty, will try that one first.
The lad isn't having major issues, just irritating. He's like me, just wants things to work right.
