I've got a set of these for the X6 now.  Thule Wingbar Edge series.  Not sure how long they have been available, although Thule indicates for a few weeks only.  Not cheap - probably to being new still.

Various cars are covered by the range and they are almost silent even at motorway speeds.  Comes as a complete system so you don't need to work out which bars and then which 'foot pack'.  They're held on with a thick band of some rubber/plastic which is tightened with the supplied torque wrench.

Takes our Excellence XT roof box with no additional adapters needed.





And before anyone says anything, I know the car needs cleaning!

Looking good. Obviously I will only be able to judge the noise if you lend / hire them to me for a week in august

Unfortunately they'll be between the roof box and roof elsewhere at that time, and so not available for independent tests......

But I'll let you know how quiet they are.

I was thinking of getting the roof box resprayed to match.  It's black and titanium at present.  It will look very nice in Man Pink and Titanium........ >:D
