Does anyone know if landrover disco 2 wheels would fit the e53? the stud pattern looks the same but they are 16" wheels with 235/70R16 tyres on them.
Not great wheels but was considering them for a winter set up maybe!!!
Juat wandering if the 16" would clear the brakes etc as the smallest is usually 17" for the e53 i think.

Stud dimensions and offset will be critical. The other issue is as you say, will be the brake discs and calipers, as in whether the disco wheels will physically fit over them whilst still allowing cooling air flow. No idea on that one.
The handling might be kind of 'interesting' given the hub size. You will also need to check if the 'rolling diameter' of those tyres is the same as the X or the speedo accuracy will be adversely affected.

for mine the geezer had them on a disco.

The BMW recommended size for winter wheel set up for E53 models (not the 4.8is though) is 17" - not sure if the 16" will clear the brakes?
Otherwise, I *think* the offset is ok and I know many Range Rover / Disco owners have fitted E53 X5 wheels directly to their cars, so if the brake clearlance is a non-issue, then you should be ok.......will probably look pretty grim though.......

just noticed on ebay a set of 17inch X5 wheels with Michelins - claimed good condition - in London, currently at a bid of 50quid! Ending this afternoon (sunday) can't be bad!!! (nothing to do with me by the way)
