X5 40D M sport engine fan

Hi all,

I noticed that sometimes after a journey of 15 miles the engine fan keeps going when I park and stop the car.
Should I be worried, or is this normal ?

No warning lights. is there a way of checking the engine temperature?

Normal (unless its still going when you wake up tomorrow!!)  You had the aircon on?

It could be the system was in the middle of a DPF purge/regen cycle and in order to stop things burning under the car (the DPF gets rather hot!!) the fans run to keep the temps down.  Should go off after about 10-15 minutes.
