Hello , New Owner

Hello there , My names Jack  im from Aberdeen, 23 years old love cars and have just bought my first BMW !

I have yet to pick it up (this Saturday coming)  but its a 53 plate E53 , to be honest im not 100% on spec of these and what was a option and what wasnt and i also dont know what model it really is haha

Like i said its a 53 plate , 3.0d D , non facelift and i think it might be a sport , it has tinted windows and grey leather interior with like a brushed alloy finish , heated seats front and rear but other than that i think its pretty basic , dont have nav or anything

It was a bit of a impulse buy , i was just wanting to look at them to begin with but ended up buying this one , shes just turned 58000, so i take it it will need its 60k service ? what all should be done then?

its full BMW service history but kinda grudge paying someone to change some oil and a filter  :noexpression: , but might just do it this year just to get the stamp in the book

the body work is super clean with only a few 1" scratches , and the bonnet got resprayed 4 years ago under warranty due to rust  so the front is very clean aswell

Cant wait to get her home and give her a good machine polish !

Already bought a full LED interior kit so all the lights can be changed to white LED's , also for the front sidelights bought some LED's there and also silver tec bulbs all round for the indicators and a scanner 1.4

a tow bar is the next thing il be buying and fitting as the only real reason i bought a X5 was to tow my "toy"  :))

Heres my 2003 Ford Focus RS mk1, shes a work in progress , but shes not far from done now , needs a electric cut off and fire system , poly windows and some better race spec suspension , then its onto the bodywork for some paint and a new set of wheels and it will be finished :D

Currently its down south at the mappers getting some custom bits made and then she will be good for mapping and im hopping she will come back with 500bhp+  :)

Welcome to the one of the largest gathering areas for the most hated drivers on the road, its where we hang out when were not jumping que's, cutting people up and speeding.

Welcome to the Centre Lane Owners club - only non-BMW drivers get the fines because we own that and the outside lanes so no one should be in our part of the road...... 8)

Thanks guys

just bought the modified breather kit for the car as i highly doubt its been changed , also a new air filter aswell

cant wait to get it and start driving in comfort ! climing in and out of the RS's cage belting up with the 6 point harness and then using your right foot as any music you wanted was good , but as a daily it was getting a bit annoying!  :))

yeh cant wait to get it on saturday!

Just out of intrest as far as i can gather it has the business CD player in it , what like are they for sound quality ?

Im big into my music and can see me maby ripping out the standard stereo (CD changer in the boot and no ipod jack is a bit of a pain)

for £150 i can fit a decent bluetooth ipod alpine headunit rather than spend silly money on something that allows me to attach my ipod and wont even display the track ID's

If your current set up does not have DSP you can fit a Hualigan or similar headunit for less than £500, there is plenty on ebay. It will give Radio, Nav, CD/DVD, Bluetooth, Ipod Conection, Aux connections, DVB TV and more. Mine has been in for a year and I haven't used anywhere near all the functions yet. It's all plug and play so easy to fit and looks OEM.
