Returned last week from a mammoth road trip, business mixed with pleasure. Departed Hull on a Friday evening & arrived in Zeebrugge the following morning. Blasted through France & down to Morges, Switzerland in comfort. Then headed to Nuremburg to see the WW2 sites. Nuremburg to Prague & then onto Flossenburg, Zagan (Great Escape POW Camp) in Poland... and onto Colditz castle. Colditz to Ostennen (Dambusters) Mohne Dam & then Ostennen back Brugge.
2498 miles in seven days, 440 GBP in diesel. The X5 performed effortlessly on the entire journey and the Autobahn drive was excellent
Pleased I went in the X5 as Zagan POW camp is seven sq miles of rough terrain & forest which I glided around with ease. People had tried in normal cars & there were bumpers & bits littered all over !
