Hi folks,my father in law is after an x5 and we looked at a nice one last night but it had a few white lines down the sat nav screen on the right hand side, you don't really notice it but does anyone know if it will get worse or even fail completley?
The x5 we looked at was an 04 3.0 petrol,80k fsh recent gearbox service and software update, sat nav,nappa leather,10 speaker stereo,rear blinds,heated seats front and back,factory towbar and xenons. The car is in excellent condition and the guy is asking £8400 for it. I think its a bit steep what do you think?

Nowadays you can replace the screen itself or the whole front headunit. Details about the screen are hereand costs for the screen alone should be sub £100 and the whole unit £300 max.

Shouldn't be a deal-breaker.

Thats an incredibly high spec for a 3.0i petrol, sounds good, try to get a bit knocked off so the screen can be replaced.
