CarMats

Post by Balboni » Tue May 28, 2013 11:34 pm

Want a new set of car mats for my E70 X5 so called my local BMW dealer for a quote.

The guy on the phone said £132.

I replied "no no, I wanted a set of car mats"!

Is it me or is £132 a lot for 4 small bits carpet?

I am looking for good quality mats which are model specific, but at the same time don't want to be ripped off.

Are there alternatives that people have tried?

Hi I know its seems a lot of money ( and yes it is ) BUT I bought the tailered mats for my X5 E53 over 7 years ago and they still look almost new, the quality is superb.
A very good investment IMHO.
Just paid £50 recently for a set of tailered mats for my new Astra GTC, they are total rubbish, after a couple of moths they look like scrap  >:( >:( >:(.
2005 X5 3.0 petrol with LPG conversion....euro clear lights....20" 4.8 style  alloys....headrest DVD system....subwoofer install....4.8 style tailpipes...chrome grilles all round....70k miles from new...still gives me a smile every time I drive it :):):)

Sounds like a proper stealers price, try Motorforce in South Shields, they used to do great pricing on OEM mats, they'll probably do mail order these days too

Personally I went for the fitted BMW rubber mats. Easy clean and for a rubber mat they look good. Ideal if you have kids too.
