Probably a long shot, but I'm sure there's some caravan type people who frequent this forum, not mine but a good friend has a 2011 buccaneer caravel caravan for sale, I believe the spec is the same for all caravels, ( you can tell I'm not a caravan type ), its also got the motors on the wheels for moving about and it comes with the awning for the side as well.
As far as I know it's all serviced and up together, but obviously I will double check this if anyone's interested.
As far as price goes, he's looking for around the £16.5K mark, but as with everything there's always a bit of haggling that can be done.

Perhaps I could have worded it a little better, but you know what I mean, and it's definately not mine, I prefer to sit behind them on the road swearing my head off, lol.

Horses for courses.  We have been caravanning for less than two years and for us is creates great family time.  The wife works 9-5, I work shifts and only get one full weekend off every nine weeks and we also have a ten year old so by getting away when we can brings us together and gets the daughter enjoying a healthy lifestyle and meeting lots of new friends.

Had you asked me two years ago would I ever caravan I would have given you a dirty look and short, sharp 'no'!

So, if you haven't tried it, at least keep an open mind to those that do.  ::)

I fully understand the appeal & genuinely glad that you & your family enjoy........ Like others, I merely find caravan jibes childishly amusing - No offence intended :)

No offence taken as I would have thrown out a few myself in the past. Although, having the power of the X6 is amusing when pulling away and annoying drivers that will try anything not to be stuck behind a caravan!

It's the reason I got a towbar for the X6.  Just need to find the right 'van' now........and somewhere to keep it.

Seen some really great ones out there but the beds are all too small for a 6'4" me.  :'(

Richard, if you are looking for a fixed bed you've got a few options:
Elddis Xplore 504 - 6' 6"
Adria Adora Thames and Adora Rhine 6' 6"
Adria Astella and Rio Grande - 6' 7"

PM me if you want info on beds you make up from the front seats or for twin beds.

God this is going to sound really anal now, but the front beds in the buccaneer can be made into a double which is 7' long.
Off now to read my train spotters magazine.  :nerd:
