Anyone had the above fitted to there LCI facelift x5 , thinking of changing to a 40d and putting this kit on .

Done a search can't find anything (this site ) , found a  aftermarket kit from europe but I don't think they'll be up to much , but could be wrong

Not LCI but have a chat with BlackX5 - he fitted one to his. Think from China - fit was said to really good.

Will do cheers , I've found one from the states and possibly the one from china , I'm at the dealers tommorrow havin a look and see if any deal can be done , maybe see how much the OEM is probably £££££ as usual

Well the OEM kit front and rear all primed is £883 from the dealers , and I've traded in the 4.8 for a 40d , nearly went for a 35d x6 .

Got a week to wait to do private reg transfer , better get some penny's saved for the aero kit

Lucky man! Make sure you go for the kit! Ask Cotswolds to quote you with a forum discount (unless you're getting that already).

Any implications to warranty if you get it fitted/painted elsewhere?

As for the kit need to get a few penny's together so will prob ask Cotswold for a qoute

Sorry for delayed repsonse.

Yes I sourced my kit aftermarket (pre LCI), but it was exactly the same as the dealer fitted version- to the extent that the dealer installation instructions were used to fit it.  Same fixings, brackets etc etc.  It was made from plastic (I would not use a GRP/ fibreglass kit).  The fit was also perfect.

This is similar to what I bought. (for your LCI)  The only thing you MAY have to add on is import duty and VAT.  Mine was about $350 delivered to the UK.  Start with a low offer and work up from there!

Yep think that's  the seller I found on eBay , also found a DIY on another BMW forum looks pretty straight forward a job to do , have a local guy that's a pretty good sprayer as well
Just always wary of aftermarket and posting that distance .

I'm goni see how much he will charge to spray the kit first
