Baby D is coming...

Excited, got a call today telling me my new 123d vert is arriving to them tomorrow, and potentially collect on Friday, ready for the long weekend.

Question I had was there anything I should be asking them to do, or checking?

Paint finish (my X6 was damaged by seagull poo and badly repaired at Thorne VPC- now fixed), all the options you asked for have actually been installed (someone recently had a car built with something missing), correct tyre pressures.  Look at the alloys for any sign of lacquer damage too.

Go over it with a fine tooth-comb!!  I actually downloaded a US copy of the Owners Manual as it was very similar so that I knew what should be there and I could ask the dealer to demonstrate was (a) there and (b) working!

If it had been possible I would have them put the car on a ramp and I would have checked the underside too - yes I am that careful!!  Having been a Quality Manager as part of one of my jobs, I learned to trust nothing I could not check physically and visually.

I've been asked to 'come along' and that's exactly what I intend to do.

Kick one tyre, sniff and ask Jig to pay the man.

Think I might go for 3 free coffee's. I reckon I can make this visit last 2 hours at least.

Where is the deed being done, and at what time?

You may get a lot of viewers to the big event.

Pics part was the only bit I knew about.

Funny that I wasn't expecting it for another couple of weeks, and now I know it's Friday the days are already stretching :D

You're only about 10 miles from me - may be a tad less....... :). I use their branch in Bedford which is about 10 miles in the other direction.

Are you sure you want Sanj in charge of the paintwork? Look what happened to his at the Hounslow meet :))

Temptation says get in it a drive it. Sensibility says get as many coffee's out of them as possible whilst you give it the once over as the last thing you want is to get home and find a dent/ding/scratch anywhere on it and have them say that you did it!

I know it will be a long wait but good luck with the pickup Friday mate :)
