Folks,
I am picking up my 2011 X5M from Belfast on Friday... £1k deposit down and £45k to pay when I am there.
This is subject to satisfactory examination obviously. I wanted to pick your brains on what I should be checking and is there anything I should be asking the dealer for now, such as updated sat nav maps etc ??
I have had the rear arches resprayed and protected under the warranty, and the guys are detailing it over the next couple of days... Just serviced and tax runs to the end of May... Tyres at 6mm... It's got mats.
What am I missing guys ??
Cheers,
Paul.

A full tank of fuel, and maybe a money off deal on your next service, a boot liner, a BMW leather care kit and anything else you can get out of them for free hehe

I would try and get the 2013 maps if you can and check the wheels (not sure if the X5M wheels are prone to the lacquer issue on the 20" MSport models.
I hope it turns out well for you. The power of the X5M must be mental!

Firstly, congrats on your purchase and welcome to xdrivers!
Next, given that you've put down the deposit and - I'm guessing - you really , really like the car, there's not going to be much further leeway on what you've negotiated so far. Deffo worth trying for some extras but I think those are the 'seal the deal' type things to get your signature on the order form. The salesman probably knows he can say he's not 'got much left in the car' and that you're very unlikely to walk away.
Give it a go and let us know how you get on!

Don't forget the obligatory bouquet in the car for the wife (from the dealer that is).

See if they will add an additional 12 months AUC Warranty. If they wont then get then to put one on and pay the cost price. Did this on mine and only cost £385 instead of £1000 at renewal time.

Good luck with the pick up on Friday.
If you don't ask, the dealer certainly won't give....
