Posted here for hopefully a wider audience, although I have asked in the thread in the E70 problem section so hope that's ok.
Anyone used these people before?

In my experience it's usually cheaper just to buy another seat!
I put a small rip in my 3 series doorcard leather, £70 to repair (IIRC) £30 for a second hand but mint doorcard.

This is only 7 - 10 undone stitches.
I've emailed the company I found for a quote and see what happens.
I did email the dealers to see if they could recommend someone, that was on Friday, but no reply. Bit sad really as they'd been brilliant up to then.

I've been quoted £90.
Sound reasonable?

It was hand stitched by the guy. Seat wasn't removed, he just knew his stuff. He does car seats but also all upholstery repairs.
It was £90.
I'd rather spend that now than watch it get worse. Plus he comes to you.
Really pleased.

Ask for Dale.
Tell him that you got the info from a guy on an X5 forum. He says he gets lots of work that way.
