Hi Folks
Had a bored afternoon today as couldn't progress with a job so I idled away a few hours on ebay, as you do! Came across this

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Aux-RCA-H ... 9712555%26

and wondered if I could plug this into the Aux socket on the back of the centre arm rest and then link my iphone to it? Think it might work?
Regards
Gareth

Hmmmm very interesting.  Id like to know if that would work too.  The bluetooth in my 2004 x5 is useless. It keeps disconnecting and reconnecting....Have not been able to make 1 proper phone call with my HTC ONE S in the month that ive had the car. :(

For a little over £15 you can't go too wrong.  Might just be worth a punt.

Wouldn't use it for music as the aux socket in the arm rest is mono I think.

What about connecting it to the Aux input lead that comes from behind the Front Display unit?

I can't see why it wouldn't work.

Is there a way to perma-wire the mini usb charger and run that behind the dash to whereever you place this unit, so it can be powered permanently when the ignition is on and not need to be recharged?
