Xdrive 3 series

Hi, i  was behind one of these today and  the thing that really stood out was how cheap and aftermarket the xdrive badge looked on the boot, the badge itself isnt so offensive i just think that it looks wrong on the back, (somehow being on the boot makes the badge look crap) it maybe would have been a better idea to fit them low down on the front wings instead, where, imho it doesnt look cheap for some reason.
Has anyone seen one, and know what i mean or is it just me?

I'm not sure why BMW even display XDrive on the cars.  Too much bling for me.  I always go de-badged.

I've said it before, it just needs this badge to finish it off nicely.Image

Huck you'd have an issue with that badge on yours  :o and don't forget the "Twin Turbo" badge to finish things off  :))

The biggest improvement now is needed with the object behind the wheel!!!

I've got my eye on some light weight forged 240r wheels now....

Do you mean the 340r Technomagnesio? If so you may be able to do better. There were issues with the supply of these wheels when the 340r was launched and a sub wheel was used  ::) we used to fit the all mag original 'Techno' wheels to the race cars and quite a few road cars, very good but weak if hit.

Reducing the un-sprung weight of the car is a good idea, you notice a difference.

As for the object behind the wheel, can't help there   ;)

Nope look here

http://wiki.seloc.org/a/S2_Wheel_Options

I currently have my 'wet' tyres on the Exige Y spokes, the 48s are on the Team Dynamic 1.2s

The 240r ones are a good couple of killos lighter on the front

Just think it would finish the nitrons off nicely !

Got you. They look like the old 'Techno' wheels, very nice. Those Volk TE37's are light  :o
