hi all, like the heading says,

i just got out of my car after a run and went to press key fob to lock car but nothing is happening.
after several attempts it finally locked but then took many attempts to unlock again.
i was stood right next to the car. i even tried the spare key (which was used only last week to keep it charged up with no problems) and now that has the same problem.
the locks work fine from the centre console button and with the key in the drivers door. but no key fob lock/unlock/ boot release from either key.

surely 2 keys cant have flat batteries at exactly the same time?

any ideas folks?

I have similar problems outside my house.

Its completely random but there is something that interferes with the signal. I know this is the case because it effects everyone else on my road whos remotes work on 433mhz frequency.

See if any of your neighbours are having similar problems.

Or try driving your car to the next street and see if it still happens.

out of curiosity i just drove my car to the next street and guess what..... both remotes now locking/unlocking car perfectly!

drove back to my street but parked in a slightly different place to before and both remotes taking several hard pushes to lock/unlock the car.

so whats this all about then?? could one of my neighbours be a secret radio ham?? or worse?

I did a bit of a search on google and the common culprit is somebody using a wireless video/av sender nearby.
