Which BMW dealer deal's on NEW cars?

Post by jeegnesh » Wed Apr 03, 2013 10:23 am

I know they all do.

So thinking of getting rid of my very old and beloved Boxster and am considering a new 123d, what I wanted to know is that will each dealer give different deals? Is there any dealers/names, that people know about who like to deal with tight arse indians?

Nothing tight in looking for a great deal. As some have found out recently, they have been able to get circa 20% off a new X5. Deals are out there so you are doing the right thing, just a case of finding them.

So 20% off the price is a good gauge then? I think I might gone past that already  :) but we agreed to more when I sit down on the dreaded day if it happens.

Got a quick guide on the insurance they will try and sell too:-

service 5 year, 60,000 for about £300 (I'll take that)
bundle:-
  gap
  door scuff
tyre cover (5 max i think)
  lost key
whooping £1700 (thats got to be greatly reduced, however I know I can use scuff and tyres)
shurguard - £495 (surely they cover new paintwork as standard anyway???)

Sorry I am out of my mind no where near 20% but then the price is quite different to an X too.  Time to play off figures and see.

Always useful is to get a quite from broadspeed - usually gives a ballpark figure with a hefty discount, from which to start negotiations with a few dealers. Make it clear you are looking at other places for the best price for you. Some won't play, others may be desperate to make their targets.

I recently bought a 118d M sport coupe limited edition from Fairfields in Southend, I managed a 16% discount and the car was only £27000 to start with,  I was very happy with that, there was a special deal on but worth a call now.

Fairfields is a very nice company to deal with, the guys name is Paul Church and I can't recommend him enough.

Carl Bourner at Snows in Portsmouth (02392 657500) did the business on an X5 deal - no messing about and his first price was, I am convinced, his absolute best offer.  I think Chompers dealt with him recently too and found it positive (but you'd need to check the threads to be sure).

Good luck and by buying new you could get a sweet deal on the financing

You are the man. So I gave all the dealers listed and some my silly expectations if they wanted my money, almost all said no way keep dreaming however Terry at Elms Cambridge said come on down and bring your credit card.

All done one shiny new 123d convert ordered :-)

Thanks to all for sharing.

Glad to hear you got a good deal! He's been fantastic helping resolve the build issue with my wife's X1 too, so it's not just great service pre-sale either.
