Post by POC » Fri Mar 29, 2013 4:46 pm

Gave her the full shake down, inside, out and engine bay.  Here are a few pics of my newly acquired 4.8.

Thanks, Paul

Nice! I'm always surprised just how much difference the titanium grilles make to the look of the E53. Still looks fresh.

I was actually thinking of taking those and the top bonnet grills off and spraying them black?

The top bonnet grilles I don't have a major opinion on but the kidneys, IMO, no way - keep as is. But of course Paul, that's only my opinion and it may not be shared by many.

I don't know. I just feel it really sets it off and, like I said, retains a freshness to the appearance.

It's still surprising exactly how well the E53 has aged, and your example looks damn good

Personally I think the facelift E53 looks better than the E70.

Nice to see another beauty......shame about the colour  :)) but you can't have it all LOL

Would be good to meet up at a meet sometime and have a lovely row of 4.8iS resplendent with their V8's all running together, what sweet music.......
