First few months of ownership and trip computer MPG accuracy

Hi all, Its been a while since I posted so I thought I would just drop by with a few ramblings....
Ive had the X3 3.0sd for 4 months now. In that time it has been great in the snow and fantastic for lugging everything and everyone about (I didnt have a bike rack for my trip to Kielder so I just put the two mountain bikes inside the car instead). Also, the performance is enough to keep a smile on my face and suprise a few others who think "its just an X3".
I also managed to get the faulty sat nav unit I posted about before christmas fixed FOC by Stratstone at a cost of £2k! even though it was specifically stated as being excluded from the warranty. So its top marks to them and the regional director and his PA (I dont have their names at hand) who helped me get it all sorted.
Much of my time is spent in stop start traffic and its been more or less continuously cold weather since I purchased the car. Despite this, it is still managing to return 24MPG according to the OBC which I thought would translate to an actual 21 or 22MPG. To by suprise, the OBC is actually 100% accurate using the brim to brim method to verify. I will be taking it on a long run at the weekend and hope to get 35MPG if I stay at 70??
Regards
Andy
