Hello,
Owned my x35M E70 for 6 months now , done a few mods , biggest being a remap @ Ecotune , (should be putting out 350bhp , needs dyno run though)
Just started getting into detailing ,the cars had a going over with a clay bar and a few coats of carnuba wax , looks 10 times better than when i got the car but its definitely a work in progress,
Fitted the Lux H8's to get rid of the yellow angel eyes and just had the wheels painted Ferric grey , I'll post some decent pictures if the sun ever comes out,
Cheers,
Bob.

I wish they stayed that clean for longer though....

Welcome and lovely looking car you have there.
Do you feel like cleaning mine once you've finished

Welcome Bob! I know what you mean about your car being nicer than when you picked it up - I feel like a good few hours spent on the purchase is part of the bonding process!
Interested in the Lux upgrade. I absolutely hate the yellow lights. Is it straightforward to do?

Hello mate,
Yeah it wasn't my car until I'd gave it a good clean, next step will be a machine polish but i don't know if i've got the bottle to try it myself,
The Lux upgrade takes about 5 minutes each side , all you need to do is swap the Lux led unit for the halogen OE bulb , no warning lights or issues with the cars electrical system either so its straightforward and well worth the money i think.

Thanks Bob, that's really helpful and sounds like a no-brainer. Any complicated bits or tools needed or just really straightforward?

Dead easy, remove the 1/4 turn cover at the back of the headlight pod , swap the lights over and replace the cover , no tools needed , its a little bit of a tight squeeze to get your hand in the pod but you could do it with your eyes shut

Welcome Bob, your X looks great, and if that's work in progress I can't wait to see the finished article.
Huck, I also did the angle eye upgrade. I put in 20watt LEDs, the signature shows the results. As bob has mentioned it an easy job......it needed to be for me to get it right! ::)
I'm trying to find a link to the seller, but no luck yet, will post once found.

I think the 20watts were around £55-£60. It is possible to get even brighter 35 watts but not looked it to the price of these.

Lamps are made in the states but the manufacturers website says out of stock.

There are a few options out there but i couldnt advise on which is best , only that the H8's work really well
