PDC front and back not working but beeping.

Hi all, when i press the PDC button it beeps for about 5-8secs but then does nothing when reversing or from the front. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have a faulty PDC sensor. Turn on your ignition, press the PDC button on the dash, put your ear to each sensor. You should hear a clicking noise from each sensor. If there is one with no noise, that's your duff one.
Facelift fronts mean bumper off, rears can be accessed via the towbar cover, or exhaust covers on the diesels.

These are rears, and centre fronts, the front outers are the 90 degree angle ones, I've purchased one of this site, they have an advert for the front outer ones too on EBay.

Cheers fella. None of them are working tho. Should they all not work if ones broke. Mine isn't a facelift model as its a 52 plate so is it front bumper off?

If one has gone it defaults to the single tone when you put it into reverse. The sensors click when powered up, you have to put your ear up very close to hear them, or a scanner will detect the faulty one. I believe you can do the front sensors on a pre facelift without removing the bumper.

I had one damaged by the dealer jet washing it (on my e39)
I found the faulty one by very gently touching it and you can feel the sensor pulse if it is working.

Cheers boys. I will check them once off hols. I've gotten so lazy with parking they are a must now. Lol
