After some nearly 20 years of modding cars etc and forums my better half is now I the opinion I'm a lost cause so has given up on saying anything.

The introduction of my iPhone and now iPad have seen quite an increase of activity on my behalf though which still does get on her nerves from time to time.

I have a good get out clause in that SWMBO is quite often using the dreaded 'book of faces' app on her iPhone or on the laptop, so I get to use the iPad for 'that bloody forum' or other car related stuff and she daren't moan (too much anyway)
