Xenon Headlights

Question. If i have Xenon bulbs and one blows, die, not work, will a
Halfords (HBU477) 55W H7 Car Bulb fit, i Have them for spares when i had a 2002
525 or do i have to buy Xenon bulbs can you swap them over ?.

No it won't work, and yes you will need another HID bulb.
HID (Xenons) are arc lights with very high voltages and they run using a plasma rather than a bit of overheated Tungsten wire in a bath of Halogen gases.
I think you need a D2S bulb.....but don't buy them from a aDealer as they will want three times the price. Osram or Philips are the OEM type, or you can buy cheaper option. Still about £80 a pop.

Cheers thanks I looked at Stealer prices £186 halfords have them on sale for £55 normally £85 I do not need them just found my spares in cellar and if they had fitted would have kept them in X3 let's hope they do not blow while in my care.
