Good evening all.

Thought I'd sign up to an owners site as I do with all my cars.
I'm not new to BMW previous cars being E46 328 and an E39 528 msport, I am however new to the X series.
Bought as a family motor it's perfect for my needs.
Anyway on with a few pictures, cosmetically I plan little more, currently sat on it's winter wheels the 18" summer wheels will go back on if the snow ever stops! Mudflaps sitting ready to be fitted and that'll be it.
I've already removed the swirlflaps and changed the breather away from the loo roll type. Had Superchips Bluefin fitted aswell. I say "had" as I've removed it tonight as the car was very smokey on it's first start up of the day and I want to see if that's the issue.

Comments welcome negative or positive  :)

That's cheating! You now have to take photos WITH snow! Got any of the interior?

Regards the smoke - the X5's do it all the time. So does my 120d (but I need others to confirm it's a similar lump to yours). If so, helps with elimination process.

Oh and mine didn't have swirl flaps (Dec 2005)!

Welcome aboard..

I owned an 05 X3 2.0d se for a year. They are very underrated, but i loved it.

I also removed the swirlflaps and had the engine remapped (not a bluefin though).
the difference in performance and sheer driveability was astonishingly good.

Enjoy

Was that this years snow though, huh, huh?!?

Thanks for being a sport buddy. :ok:

Have a chat with Jason - he's really good with remaps and diagnostics on the smoke issue.

I've been testing a new remap for him, after the first gave us a bit too much smoke, he dropped the performance down on it and now we have one that ups the performance without the smoke. He's good, try him.
