Ive decided to just turn off the front parking sensors until its get wamer and can replace at my leasure.
I purchased 1.4.0 scanner but it looks like you have to write code to change software and no easy turn off of front sensors.
Is this the case or an i missing something.
Thanks

There is an option to change from 8 to 4 sensors in one of the menus (without going into the software I can't remember which one though, actually may just be in the PDC drop down). Yes it does write to update.

Or take the connector out the module - in the boot by the battery.

Had a good look in 1.4.0 and i cannot find a sub menu to change the sensors from 8 to 4.
If i took the connector out the PDC box in the boot wouldnt that throw up a fault.  Do you know which colour block to remove
Thanks

Don't think it does - X555 did this once. Not sure on the block colour to remove (trial and error, I'm afraid).

Think it's something like go into Units, PDC, then recoding and finally writing/coding or similar. You should see all the settings for PDC including distances, 8/4 sensors, etc. if you check 4 instead of 8 and then click write should be sorted.

Sorted.
You have to go into recode then the options come up.  I didnt want to press this button as it has read and write options on the code, so thought Id best leave it.  Looked on youtube and found someone recoding and went back to the problem.

Now all sorted and checked.  The back is more important than the fronts, so when it warms up i will replace the little duff fastard thats been giving stress
Engine problem is also now sorted and running smooth but will take off DISA tomorrow and check its ok.
Thanks folk for the help.
