Lowering ....

Post by Manfromatlantis » Sat Mar 23, 2013 9:51 pm

I'm not going to be lowering the X6 ...

I have 15mm spacers on the front and when I turn in full lock the front wheels rub ever so slightly on the oil cooling vents in the front of the wheel arch! However my mate at the body shop is making some new slim line vent covers to eliminate this problem .....  Only happens in full lock when in reverse , it nearly gave me a heart attack !!! Lol

I was going to lower it using H&R springs and links by around 30-40mm ..... But leaving it as is now.

Very good.  Did you change your mind between writing the heading and then starting to type in the thread?  :))

i had 12mm spacers up front and 15mm on the rears with my 20" set up I had no rubbing when turning.  WIth the 22" i am running a 5mm spacer up front and a 12mm rear again no catching when I turn etc.  Mine is lowered to with no issues

Westside,
I`m running BMW 20" all round. I`d like to fit wheel spacers all round too.
Wanting to keep the lines but make the look more squat, if that makes sense...Would this 12F and 15R work?
Thanks,

that would work fine, remember the center bore size is different on the X6 so your need 74.1 and 72.6 I have a set of 74.1 spacers if you would like to buy them :-)
