Rear Light Cluster Mod

Bought my wife a newer 1-Series a little while back and I wanted to mod it a bit.
So BMW do some rear light clusters that look nice on black or white cars - Darklines. But they cost £178!
So picked up a set of secondhand ones (just in case this all went wrong):
And then asked my bodyshop contact to work his magic. To say I'm pleased is an understatement.
The great thing is, he can apply this technique to ANY lights, any model and in any colour. They're done professionally, plastic laquer, then a special translucent paint, multiple layers, flattening and then a top coat of clear laquer (many layers) with a final polish. So they should last as long as conventional paint on the car. And a pro job.
Thought I'd post in case some of you had similar plans with the X.

They're going on the car (hopefully) later this week Chompers. I'll add to this thread once they're on.
It's a 120d MSport in black - 6-Speed auto, full black leather, sunroof, heated front seats, iDrive, wiper/headlight sensors, MSport steering wheel, speaker upgrade, 10 Disc changer (MP3 compatible) and some other stuff I'm forgetting. A really nice second family car for us.
I've bought the last of the pre-facelift ones and these are facelift lights to help take a few years off the car.
Cost is as you'd expect for a 'paint job'. In this case £60 - £30 a corner.

That's the only reason I posted this thread. Thought if others wanted such a mod they now have some idea and potentially a source to do the work.

The 'Darklines' look good on most colours to be honest, even Man Pink!!! BMW put them on the latest 1er coupe/convertible which was available in said colour.
@Sanj - you'll need to change the exhaust exit to complete the LCi look

I know - but no DPF and it will no doubt chuck too much cr@p. For those that don't know, it's perfect.
