Anyone got a Sliding floor they want to sell?

I have the standard lifting boot floor but am going to get car converted to LPG next month.

They said I can get a 84/85 litre tank with the standard floor but if I have the sliding floor I can fit a 91 or 95 litre tank as the floor sits higher.

Wondered if anyone had a sliding floor For Sale P/X?

Thanks
James

Unfortunately due to work commitments Gareth is no longer able to sell his.

Is there anybody else interested in selling their sliding floor. I can also give you my floor as p/x.

Not sure if it determines the boot carpet colouring but I have the black napa leather with piano black trim. So my boot floor is a dark grey colour.

Thanks

Thanks Graeme been looking for a while on the bay of e just never see them.

Not sure what I'm going to do if I can't find one by next month. I wonder if I could somehow raise the height of the old floor in order to allow me to get the bigger tank under it??

I guess the floor could rest on tank if strong enough and no outlets.

As an interim solution you could use bits of timber 3x2 inches at either side to raise floor by either size depending on what you need, and poss even screw them to floor to be more robust,

James,

Whats the difference in size tank if you get the sliding floor over the static floor?

I think that might be my only option Graeme.

Imy,

I think it's a 81L vs a 95L. I want to do some road trips in Europe this year so ideally would prefer the larger tank. Going to go for a Prins system.

Is LPG not more commonplace in Europe than here in the UK, I remember when I was a kid ( many moons ago )
Family friends used to come over from Belgium, and they used to compliance that no one stocked LPG, or are their gas systems Different than those preferred in the UK

I have a floor that in my opinion is a waste of time and boot space I would of said my carpet is black tho? Will check tomorrow how much extra floor space have you got to me?

You're not going to get 'extra' space under that floor with the sliding floor. It's the same floor with another one on top with rails between it (I think).

Do what graemeX5 has said, lift the existing floor on timber - do that after the bigger tank goes in (then you know how much to lift the floor by).

James,

All this hassle for an extra 14litres which wil only fill up an extra 10litres??? Mate lpg is common place in Europe it's every where and don't bother buying an adaptor, all pumps I went to had them and lent them out freely.

Keith The LPG fitter at Gastech in Rochford said his done a few with and without the sliding floor. He said if I can get hold of the sliding floor it would be more beneficial as I can go for the larger tank.

The thing for me I'd rather keep it as OEM looking as I can especially as I know how bad my DIY skills are.
I know I'll have visions of this rattly floor  balancing on two planks of mdf if I do it myself sliding all over the place. It will be a sliding floor but not type I want lol.

PMed you back Dave.

It does give extra space underneath - my car was converted by previous owner and I can see he retrofitted sliding floor for a bigger tank - like the OP wants. When I took the sliding floor up, I could see that the tank top sits above the 'normal' boot level - no way would a regular floor fit on top of it. The sliding one actually sits higher as its on the rails and the rails are bolted to the car on feet.
