I have just taken delivery of my Continental sport contacts 335/25/22 for the rear of my X6 ....
They look huge ! I presume they will fit my onyx 22" alloys ? Rim Width is 10J ? Tyre is 11 I presume this will squeeze in once fitted ?
Cheers

315 is the standard width for the J10 wheel, they may indeed squeeze on, but to be honest the 315s are massive so do you really need 335 if only going to stress them on thinner wheels?

Thanks Don ...
So just to confirm before I order more tyres.....
I will be able to fit 315 /30/22 to my 22" onyx rims ?
Cheers

This
chart may help as a guide, but for 10J rims the 'recommended max' is no more than 285mm. For 315 you should ideally have at least 11.5J. BMW fit 315 to 11J x 20" though.

Oops, I got my widths mixed up. So no, you can't fit your tyres onto you rims! Are your new rims staggered and if so what size are the front rims?

So it's 285 all round then. Still a wide wheel but are you able to get wider rears in those rims? That would really set the car of right.

No unfortunately not Don , just ad a look and I think if you can get hold of them you can manage 305 max. So may try that if not could be time to start looking at yet more rims !!!

my rears are 12*22 and im running the 335/25/22 rear it has a very very small stretch on it, i assume on the 10" your have a nice rim protector from the tyre, my fronts are 10*22 running a 295/30/22 and that also has a very small stretch

Hi MFA,
Given that your new wheels probably cost a small fortune, I think it would be a shame not to have the width at least equal too if not wider than standard. Now Westside has confirmed the J widths required would you not look for wheels that are available with the J12 width available?
