Hi,

My 4.8iS will be available for sale early April. It  may be available earlier , but second week in april is the anticipated timeframe. I thought I would post on here first to give the enthusiast a chance before it goes on general release. 

Its a 4.8iS , 2004 on a 54 plate .Still under full comprehensive BMW warranty, renewable on a monthly basis. Currently has 63 K on the clock, but its in daily use so the mileage will go up so please asssume it will be somwhere in the 65k region. Sterling grey with black nappa leather.
Perfect bodywork/interior. Does not have the scabby steering wheel with the black finish flaked off like they all mostly have. I have reams of invoices from BMW for ALL the work done. Fullest BMW service history. All fluids services as well ( coolant,brake fluid and transfer box ) all done. This car has had ALL the usual 4.8 issues addressed and sorted.  It Has had replacement front strutts, mirrors, nav , pan roof , gearbox to name but a few of the things done on this car, all  by BMW and again I have ALL the invoices. I have invoices totaling over £12 k . I am a fastidious owner and as you can see I have not hesitated to spend what was required to keep this car perfect. Everything works and the car has a fantastic specification. I have not see another 4.8 of this spec.

Service indicator, 2 greens left, next service due is an oil service.

Has 2 previous owners. I bought it from Eastern BMW. I believe it was a BMW management car originally, hence the fantastic specification list.

I have the BMW vehicle check certificate from when I bought it.

Purchased on 24/02/2010

MOT expires 17/06/2013. Car will be given a new MOT .

Taxed till end 06/2013

Has Tracker Monitor

I have 2 keys

1 service book, handbook, + a load of other books.

Car has extensive options fitted

Options fitted :

Removable tow bar ( I have never used it )

Running boards

Tinted windscreen

Panoramic sunroof

Exterior folding mirrors + anti-dazzle function

Sun protection glass ( Rear windows )

Floor mats

Air Conditioning rear

Heated rear seats

Side airbags for rear

Interior mirror with digital compass

Adaptive headlights

Tracker Monitor

Comms pack (Navigation System ,Tv & BMW assist )

Voice control

Bluetooth

HiFi speaker system with DSP

Car also has aux input in glove box , a fire extinguisher under the drivers seat. BMW fitted

+ Reversing camera. Neither listed in BMW options list that I have.

load cover which was standard + cargo net which was not.

If I had to be critical about the car a couple of wheels have a little curb rash, thats it. All in all a fabulous 4.8iS and I really think you will struggle to find a nicer or better looked after example.
No accidents/hp/hidden history here.

I am after  £11,000 OVVNO which very fairly reflects its provenance/condition .

Sounds like the ultimate X!
I dont think I could part with a motor like that...

I hear you.  The intention was always to keep it longer , but have the need for a 7 seater . Thats the only reason for the sale.  Its worth buying it just for the noise .  Absolutely super car . Plus I have had the privilege of having had it for 3 years. Time for someone else to enjoy it.  It would be nice to think it went to someone who understood how good this car really is  and appreciated it as much as I did . Hence advertising it on here first. It will be a sad day when it goes.

Thanks, I am really sad to see it go . Its a cracking car  & value given it must have cost nearly £70 k when new. It is being replaced by a 7 seater X5 .  All that said , don't feel too sad for me ,  someone has spotted the M5 in the background so all is not lost.

Are you sticking with the V8 or going diesel.  By the way, good luck with the sale.

Ive gone diesel .............desperately tried to get another V8 petrol but rarer then hens teeth, so didn't have much of a choice. No discounts to be had off a petrol V8 either which was a surprise and from new they are far more expensive ( £12,000 ) than diesel so it made no sense. I looked at used X5M 's and was going to retrofit the 7 seat option , but interior trims for X5's and X5M's are different so more of a headache.to do .I am sure  It can de done but too much hastle for me , shame as I think it would fit, and make unusual 7 seater, but again I couldn't find one with the right spec or price. Bloody hoot to drive though, but catastrophic MPG when driven like you have stolen it, and depreciates faster than your purse launched off beachy head. I was looking at cars 1-2 years old that cost £90 k+ new for £35-40 . BMW dealers didnt want to do any deals either,  every dealer I went to was full of DPO's ( deal prevention officers). I made offers on 5 cars and they all basically told me to get lost. In the end I found a great dealer that spoke my language and have placed an order. Oddly enough 3 of those dealers have called me back wanting to do a deal,@ my price or lower.  It was quite satisfying telling them to go away.

Gutted really , but thats life , and its a family wagon. Im sure a 40d won't be as bad as I think it is and as stated before ,I have alternativerocketship to keep me amused.
