Thxvm to Jason at BW Chiptune

I've just had my '05 E53 3.0d re-mapped at BW Chiptune in Hounslow , and wanted to say
thxvm to Jason for coming in on Monday (he shudda been somewhere else!) just to do
my car .
It's made a really big difference , and I'm really pleased .
It's got more power and a wider , flatter torque curve .
The first thing I noticed was the throttle response , much more sensitive . Pulling away from
BW's garage , I only had to 'stroke' the accelerator and I was moving . Once I got to the main
road I planted the loud pedal to the carpet and it took off like a scalded cat . Revved round to
4750 red line quickly and smoothly (Jason told me I had to do this a few times to get the re-map
settled in , who am I to argue !!)
It changes gear nice and smoothly , and will hold in the gears if you want it to , so swift progress
can be made . And around town it's hardly necessary to press the accelerator .
On the way over to see Jason , with cruise control between 110/130kmh I had a tank average of
33.8mpg , and on the return journey but this time between 120/150kmh I saw 37.1mpg , so not
only do you get the power/acceleration/speed improvement , if you drive it the same way as before
(i.e. not using the extra power advantage) then you get improved mpg too !!
So what's to lose ?? Nothing in my opinion and I would recommend Jason's re-map to anyone interested .
Best £250 I've spent on the car so far .
Cheers Jason
Regards , Chris
