Exhaust

Post by Manfromatlantis » Sat Mar 02, 2013 8:59 pm

Hi ....

Does anybody know of any decent company that fit performance exhaust systems?

I'm thinking of having my x6 m 50d fitted with something to make it sound more beefy .... Any ideas ?

Cheers
:)

You'll have to ask Raj (even though they're round the corner from me) - think they're called Profusion. He's had them do his and so has Westside's X6.
Scn Protect,Alarm Chirp,Ashtray del,Sub install,IV2,Screens,PS2 Media,Chrome rings,Schnitzer pedals,Reverse cam,Silver Grills,F/mirrors,Comp Spkrs,Heated S/W,20"168s,Splash scn,Arches,Remap,LED Tails,ACS Spoiler,'is' Bumper Trim,Rear heated seats,Rear blinds

Yep, Profusion Customs in Slough are superb. Ask for Raj and he'll really help you sort it. He's very knowledgable and has real attention to detail when making up the exhausts.

I actually like the sound of the straight six diesel under loading.  8)  Ok, it's never going to have the great sound of a V8/V12.

It's even sweeter when leaving a petrol behind in your wake of torque.  :))

Lexus, see above
Range Rover, too common and build quality issues.
Porsche, it's a button feast too far.
The biggest problem is me!  When BMW PR train up a new guy they show them  a picture of me!

Mmmmm.....

Sounds to me like there isn't much to gain on a conversion so may just leave alone for the time being  ....

Will just give Raj a call to ask his opinion .... Lets see ?

Thanks for your comments ....

You will know from a test drive [if you had one] that the M50d starts rasping at around 3200rpm; it's a far meatier sound than other models in the range and I'd be hard pressed to argue for anything louder as it would probably drive me nuts when town driving.  Hard acceleration is rewarded with a nice throaty sound anyway.  Spend your money on something else - BMW Performance kit for instance.
