22" Wheel figment for X6M50d ???

Post by Manfromatlantis » Sat Feb 16, 2013 6:41 pm

Hi ....

I have a question with regard to wheels as I'm not quite sure .....?

I Pick up the new X6 M 50d in March, and I have been wondering this:

Will the set of  22" Onyx Alloys on my 60 reg X5 fit straight on to the new X6 ? I also have H & R Hubcentric 10mm Front spacers and 20mm rear spacers , would these also fit?

I'm not sure if the bores are all the same ....

Any help will be appreciated....  :)

Cheers

Will that not ruin the dynamics of the car?

X6 and X6 have different centre bores so you need spigot rings.  The X6 has a clever rear axle with torque vectoring.  The X5 (being a bus) has no such kit........ >:D

Hi .. Thanks for replying folks ..

Would I be right in thinking the fronts would all fit, and I would need the spigot rings for the rear? What size ? And could I still use the 15mm rear spacers ?

I think you would need spigot rings on the rear as the X6 has a smaller hub diameter.  Out of interest what size tyres would you be running? Are the rear rims wider than the fronts?

As 535dboy suggested dynamics would be harsher and also worst case may affect warranty claims around suspension etc  if dealer not sympathetic/ working to the book.

Good point.  Dealers are playing hard ball, and BMW GB more so with anything non-OEM these days.  Any excuse to walk away and they will.

Hi gang, sorry a little late to the party, out watching the local Ice Hockey team win the game, but the visitors won the punch ups, some of the game was like watching That movie with Paul Newman. Was it Slap Shot?

Any way, spigot required for rears, I have a spare pair if interested.

Don

By the way, IT'S FIRE BREATHING RED!  >:D  :P
