yes..
Had CAN bus and instrument cluster ones come up on mine during the last gearbox failure.
That is not to say yours is going  but that i have seen them also.

Some times the ike will not see the message in time.
wont affect driving as the gear change controlled by the egs.

EGR is also. ot going to cause running issues but could affect emmissions
If things were meant to be easy, then I will soon complicate them....

Hey just been out in the car with the laptop given it a good hard drive and no fault codes !!!! Could it have been caused by a low battery ???

If the volts were too low then it's possible.  We all know these cars throw 'owner panicking' errors up at the wrong times when the battery is low. :(

Many thanks I did have a flat battery a few weeks ago ,
But under auc BMW washed flushed the gearbox out three times and now drive lovely well it has for the last 20k ;-)
