Hi all sat nav problem solved

Hi all, just bought a 2007 x5 3.0d with a small fault and thought I'd share what turned out to be a cheap solution!
The sat nav doesn't work in my car (doesn't recognise the disc) google, and websites like this revealed that this is a common fail as the anti vibration gel hardens on the DVD head. Looked around on eBay for a new ccc and could only find full units for £5-600.
Decided to ring BMW and it turns out they now sell the DVD unit for a very reasonable £70. I've ordered one for pick up tomorrow and will fit it myself thanks to a YouTube video showing you how!
Isn't tinternet brilliant!
