Hey guys,

Thought this topic may be of interest to everyone looking to upgrade their halogen angel eyes to the LEDs as seen on the LCI X5. Seems to be quite a common add on and quite easy to do these days for pre-LCI E70 X5 owners like myself so I need your help in telling me which is the best to buy for my car.

What is the best (by best I mean brightest and most even) LED option for the E70?

i stuck h8 halogen white bulbs [£7.68 del from ebay] in and that gave me a white look but not to bright..
i then replaced these with 40w ,20w each side ,smd leds [£55 del from ebay] and that gave me a slightly brighter halo....tbh you wont get anywhere near the proper lci look but you can get close...
there are now 64w , 32w each side, bulbs on ebay but how much brighter they are i cant say .


you posted the same question on bmwland ,so what you got then , a e60 or e70 ?.

Another vote for the LUX V3's, the brightest I have tried and seen.

Beware of adverts that many use for different bulbs as the pictures they put up as most are taken in the dark or exposure is set to make them look brighter. I didn't buy the LUX until I saw them in real life.

Definitely LUX are your best option for this as others have said.

I wouldn't mind taking the LUX H8 V3's off your hands if you're interested in shipping them to Australia for me. How much do you want? Or are you open to an offer
