Hi Guys, just quick one I have the X6 coming but have asked BMW to use the Q7 as part exchange. As we all know car dealers in general never give a great price on part exchanges so until my car arrives I am going to try to sell her myself. Has anyone used any particular website or magazine successfully for selling a car in the £17,500+ bracket? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You could try the same as I did with bluebell which wAs to obtain a quote from. WBAC and show them that. Worked for me. The Q7 is hardly a crappy car to be p'exing too.

Have you had a look at
Pistonheads? They run a classified section, and the name often comes up on this Forum.
You're right to be cautious as my E53 was P/X'd for the Mini in 2011 and we got got £12k for it. It was on their forecourt for £16.5k two days later and sold for not far short of that figure....I'll be more careful myself next time
.
I know the sale price included a warranty etc, but even so they made handsomely out of me. >:(

Pistonheads was my first choice (not for the X5 - did not want to privately sell it).
My first Z4 sold in about 6 hours on there, netting me 4k more than the dealer offered me in PX.
