Interesting to see these. I know the idea has been around or a few years now. May take a little getting used to the look but certainly seems to be something to lookout for.

Now you really can get 26" alloys with rubber bands for tyres.....

If they will ever be allowed as road legal tyres, how long before the police work out stop sticks (spike sticks/traps) wont "burst" the tyres and make them illegal
Great tyre for crims
I'm guessing that the stop sticks do enough damage to run flats to disable a car?
Friend of mine "discovered" the benefits of run flats the other day, when a relatively shallow pothole ripped his tyre off the rim, leaving him to call rescue to get his car recovered. Duh!..
I wonder what the effect on handling, and comfort is with those special tyres. Would have thought they could just put a very thin artificial sidewall to keep "standard" looks though.

I can't see them being illegal just because they defeat a current police device. They (the police) will have to look at other options such as a net that wraps its self around the wheel.
