New X5 owner
Hi everyone
Just picked picked my new (to us) X5 30d SE. It's my 8th BMW, previous ones being E36 318i, E46 318i, 330d, 330ci Clubsport, E39 530i and 530d and an E91 320d!
The X5 has a few nice bits on it:
Dynamic and Media packs, Xenons with high beam assist, Loudspeaker system, running boards, ext. folding/auto dimming mirrors, heated front seats and sun protection glass.
Just getting used to the different driving position! It seems to blend the best bits of my favourite 2 BMW's I have owned, the E39 530d for space and comfort with the toys from the Clubsport.
I am sure I will have a few questions to ask at some point. I have had a good look round the site and learnt about the tailgate rattle already! (yes, it does)
I will load up some pictures once I have had the opportunity to take some good ones.
X Box

X Box, you'll get to know Snipez, today it seems he's just rode in on his horse with his chaps flapping and spurs jangling.

Re: New X5 owner
Thanks for the welcome guys.
I haven't used car forums for a couple of years but there seems to be one or two names I seem to recall.
Also one other question, the fuel filler cover needs a very firm push to pop it open. Is that normal?
It certainly needs a much firmer push than the one on the E91.
Thanks again.

It might be the latch needs a bit of lubricating, but yes mine needed a fairly positive push from new.

Re: New X5 owner
Thanks X5 Sport - that might be all it is. I will have a good look round over the weekend when I get more time.

Re: New X5 owner
Welcome to this brilliant forum! You'll love the car. My petrol filler flap is the opposite - opens very easily so prob pretty variable according to how well lubricated / strength of spring...
