I'm looking online for some new lights for my bike. I use my buke for communting to work; along a busy main road and along a stretch of unlit path down by the river. I like the Moon lights but am wondering if they is any "professional cyclists" on the forum who give their 2p worth. I've been reading online and there is so many to choose from. The XP500 front and Shield 60 look okay to me ......?
Unless anyone can suggest others?

I bought my light from on-one, its 900 lumens (very bright) and cost about £150 a few years ago. The gang I go riding with started to buy started cheap ones from eBay (about £50) there just as bright but not as good quality. They light up a dark Forest a treat.

I use an Exposure Joystick. Can be mounted on handlebars or on helmet. Very bright, nice and light and their customer service is excellent.

fibreflare for me.
i commute as well. i wouldn't go for massive lights with battery packs for commuting. minimum weight, high visibility, long battery life, waterproof are my key criteria.
said that, i don't go through unlit areas.. lights for me are for others to see me not for me to see the road.
