Morons in Oxford

Can't believe it, just picked up my brand spanking new X5 40d, and nearly had it trollied TWICE within 5 miles by two morons who can't understand or think it's OK to be in the wrong lane and just pull in. One - some older chap in a van, had at least had the decency to look away when I eventually pulled along side him. Next, some tw*t in an Audi RS8 Coupe who was in wrong lane and pulled in front of me without indicating - didn't like my flash of headlights and so gave me the bird. BAD IDEA. If I was him in such a tiny car being trailed by an X5 a foot behind him on the A40 in Oxford, I'd be worried, especially if he looked in the mirror to find my larger than average frame beckoning him on. Us X5 drivers aren't all old helpless folk you moron.
Rant over, love the car so far.

Well that's one exciting way to get to know your X5! You can forgive the old man because he's .....old! But the Audi driver couldn't help himself, after all he is an Audi driver, it's in their DNA.

Your probably right about the BMW vs Audi. BMW are premiership, Audi, well they may well be premiership, but constantly in the bottom half.

Sadly there are morons all over. How did you find the hand over at the dealer did they go I to enough detail on how things work?

This being a non-dealer handover, through BMW Employee scheme (no dealer - turn up at the Mini Plant in Oxford) they really are expecting you to turn up and drive away. Example is we ordered the top-down reverse camera and the chap said this wasn't possible! Until I fiddled with the controller to prove it was there! Went over it with a fine toothcombe, all we could find was a little scuff which turned out to be excess wax, which they quickly cleaned up. (For the "What's Missing" Post -NO RED TOOL). It was lucky I'd had a test drive or I'd be clueless on how to drive it away.....
I'll raise another post about the BMW Employee/Family scheme......
