So today the wife tried to drive into driveway at the new house. She misjudged the turn and the result is as follows....

Why do they never use the PDC if they are not sure?

[/quote]That was exactly what I was wondering. It's on by default so she obviously wasn't concentrating.....

For sure she's fcuked you off something stupid but... bet she's feeling really mortified (and forwards into the drive the front PDC's don't usually work - unless they do on the E70).

Give her this much, she didn't slow down on that one! But at least the lights look ok.

AND SHE's SAFE & WELL! Most important thing of all! :ok:

If we can help, give a shout out.  :)

You are right Sanj, they don't come on automatically unless you reverse....

She was really upset but as I said to her, if that's the worst thing that ever happens then we'll take it straight away. It's only metal (of the plastic variety) after all and we are all safe and well.

Chief....really sorry to see this.  I'd be gutted too...... :(

As you say, it's metal & plastic so fixable........and no doubt she feels very guilty........unless it's your fault for buying the stupid house with the stupid awkward driveway of course....

:yikes:
Front bumper £1250, Wing £450, Arch, £200, Plastics £200, cant see if headlamp assembly damaged (looks ok from pic) + paint n labour.  Sore.  Should be able to get 2nd hand parts though if not going thru insurance, at least not chassis damage (alignment issues).

I have a tight gate aswell, only 3m wide against a car 2.2m wide leaves 400mm clearance which is reduced when swinging in, been dreading my wife losing concertration and doing something like this.

Feel for you mate, dont shout at her to much, just use the charm  ;)

I meant - if in doubt, switch them on even when going forward ...

Along with the cameras (if fitted).......they've saved both of us on a couple of occasions!
