Central Scotland based Newbie

Hello all.

Started the new year with a new car.

After 5 years of thinking about (and trying to justify) buying an X5, my wife is now the very happy owner of a 2005 X5 3.0d Sport.  Black with black interior and a pan roof.

This is our first BMW and I have to say I very impressed so far but I'm sure I'll be asking the odd stupid question from time to time.

I found this forum while looking for information about tow bars and have since seen a number of useful posts so thought I'd stop by and say hello.

Here are some pictures taken at the dealer before we picked it up.

Welcome! :ok:

Oh man, why spoil it for me though - I need to ask for pics!

Very nice car buddy, for the missus, so expect no mods intended (except winter tyres perhaps)?

Hi & :hi: to the group.....

Good looking car, and don't worry about asking things.  You've surrendered any pride just by joining..... :)) :))

I'll try harder in future  :)

No mods planned (not even winters tyres - never used 'em) but do plan to fit a towbar for the motorcycle trailer.

Still a bit annoyed today, noticed on Saturday that some pleb has already smacked it with their door in a car park - OSF Rear door has a small dent just forward of the wheelarch - hadn't even had it 2 weeks :'(
