I have a dilemma regarding me upgrading my car stereo.

Originally I was going to purchase this:

Its cheap as chips and does what I want. I can run google maps on it or any other sat nav software as well as you tube world radio etc with the advance app mode, although its only compatible with iphones upto 4s. I dont know if they will release an update for iphone 5 which i will probably get on upgrade in March. even if they dont i could get a sim only deal for the iphone4 and just keep it in the car...

but then iv seen this:

it doesnt have advanced app mode, but standard app mode, so it will run apps that are capable of video out put. the bluetooth features are very cool and its very simple to stream music. it also has a bigger screen.

I could get the first one no problem but then the second wouldnt get my wifes approval as my current stereo is adequet and with the second little one on the way i should be budgeting, and im not sure if the extra features are worth paying double for when the first one looks good and does what i need?

its the most dumbest conondrum i know but i have both order screens open ready to order one and i dont know which one to get...

btw i could sell my original unit for between 100-150.

any advice would be much appreciated.

What's wrong with the one you have? And have you got a definite buyer for it. She will ask, if you use that one! )

its old and im bored of it. its iphone connection is rubbish.
she already asked bout selling it, she even suggested i sell it first! but i showed her a few examples on ebay.

basically if i get the second one, it would be on the d-lo; pay it with a credit card and just keep shtump about it.

i am swinging for the second one as reviews for the first one have been hit and miss!

also im not going to buy a facia coz 1. they are ugly and 2. no way am i paying £100 for something that will make the interior look ugly, so its gonna be some mdf and a bracket job! and then il customise the front (hopefully with a little help from yourself, but thats a different conversation altogether! O:-))

Get that surround, sand it down, and then colour that the same as what you intend to do the rest of the interior trim in. Will look so much better.

not gonna go down the factory surround route sanj. Im gonna do an mdf cut and either carbon wrap it or alter the leather one i have at the moment.

offs, this looks like a ball ache to do!
