its the 20'' runflats that track and give a bit of an uncomfortable ride..not a massive issue but 19'' on normal tyres is my preference..

Had a feeling that was going to be the response. I do like those 20's but I know RFT's are just too hard.

the only way is to ditch the 20" and get some 22" rims on there with non runflats like i did to my old 4.8 lol

Did you go on the train?
It's a bit of a butt clenching moment if you go in the car bit isn't it!?!?

Are you talking about the bit where they inevitably send you upstairs (which is bad enough), or about the sodding great metal bands either side of a 10 inch kerb all the way along; or the sections where you need to fold the mirrors in to get past? LOL

The kerbs are the gits but yes fold mirrors at the bogs!
Only took x5 once, never did it again.
When on track we get to go in the coach bit which is much easier but then you get the school kids all over the cars.

Taser mate!! Apparently you can get 1 million volt ones shipped via the web!! Should do the job nicely, and might even make the train faster.... :spiteful:

on the way to cologne we went on the car train which was very tight and the wheels kept rubbing against the track thinghy, but on the way back we went on the truck/coach train and that was much better with plenty of room...

Just come back from Europe with the X5. We had a massive roof box on it so went in the carriages for larger vehicles - absolutely fine. Next time I'll do the same even without the roof box - so thanks for the intel ...
