I'll post up a pic when I get a chance. It's still a work in progress though with the surround.

Its not sat flush in these photos, but does now .
I have also changed the satnav software to IGO8 Primo 2
Also I have changed the steering wheel plastic facia, I'd forgotten how bad it looked.
And thanks for Sanj for sorting the Photobucket dilema out for me

The Dynavin unit does look more standard which I think is good but it's a lot of money, I was looking at the Sony 601bt? In halfords for 300 but because the hole in the dash would be so big and a bezel would have to be put in which I think will not look so good. Think I am in same boat as OP

Don't know what to do. The Dynavin and the Haulingan look more factory but still sounds expensive. Anyone fitted Kenwood, Alpine or Clarion Double Units?

The Sony/Pioneer/Alpine/Kenwood mainstream units will be 10 times more reliable than the Dynavin/Hualingan units.

Reliability, menu navigation, the whole thought-process is so much better. Get the £300 unit and get a really nice screen adapter plate (even have it finished in leather to match the car), The outlay will be less than the chinese units.

The Haulingan is not a bad price, there are members that have sold off their old OE satnav screens and modules etc. This can raise some, if not all of the cost of installing a decent Haulingan.
I bought the Dynavin instead of the Haulingan, as I thought that I would not loose my OBC. As it happens you cant reset the OBC settings with it, unless you wire the original MID unit in to the glovebox.
If you already have OE satnav this wont be possible, as you wont have a mid unit.

Not too bothered about the OBC. I seem to be hell bent on the sat nav part if the deal but may have a rethink.

One of the plus points of the Huli/ Dyna units is you can are not limited to a single choice of sat nav software. Igo is popular so is Sygic and Primo ( my choice) and I have seen a couple running TomTom.

Sorry it's taken a while to get these but finally got a couple of pics.

They aren't the best and as I said before the surround is only temporary as a nicer one will be put in place. But the function over form for me is the hands down winner. The unit is superb and beats the OE/Hual/Dyn completely and I have an spec.dock hooked up to it too so I can playing all my music, films, music video, etc.

Raj, which model Pioneer is that and what wiring modules/extras did you need. I have the basic business radio/CD and no DSP and would like to try and install myself.
