Hello and
Good to see another X6 joining in the mayhem on the Forum......and a 'new' colour amongst the current X6 pool too.
Which version do you have? pvr will be on about 'round' exhaust pipes and wheelbarrow handles (he'e a bit odd like that

).

Welcome to the forum from another newbie! It's a crackin' wee spot, with plenty of merriment, helpful folks, and some useful information too!
Nice X by the way.
I'm in Perthshire to this morning, Pitlochry visiting family. OAG number plate! Knew an Alistair Oag, had the Struan Inn at Calvine/Struan many but that's going back to the eighties! Any relation? Longshot but had to ask!

Thanks for the replies
No relation to the chap in Calvine but have heard him mentioned before
Intrigued and a tad annoyed that there appear to be recalls for power steering and the " lack of security problem" yet my local dealer remains silent?

TBH when you look at what Toyota are facing, BMWs pulley problem is minor and can happen to any manufacturer. The 'security issue' did however show the less pleasant side of the motor industry with Dealers knowing precious little and the Manufacturer either keeping quiet or denying the issue exists even when it's widely known about! The security issue has been fixed for the X5 & X6. At least as far as we know!!
If nothing else, it has shown how little manufacturers still understand about the real world in the Internet Age. BMW dropped the ball big time. Sometimes trying too hard to be the technology 'leader' means common sense goes out the window.

What year is your car? Have you had the security patch fixed by the dealer? Just concerned that you say he's been silent! If you haven't had the work done, then ring a get it booked in ASAP. Peace of mind if nothing else.
